Denmark's largest sorting plant for plastic waste
At ReSource Denmark, we operate the country's largest and most advanced plastic waste sorting facility, located in Esbjerg. With the latest technology, we set new standards for sustainable and efficient recycling of plastics. At the facility, we convert plastic waste into valuable raw materials that are used in new products - actively contributing to the green transition and a more circular economy.
Advanced technology for precise sorting
Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art sorting technology from German manufacturer Eggersmann. Using advanced sensors and optical sorting, plastic types are identified and separated with high precision. We sort HDPE, PP, LDPE, PET and PVC into clean fractions that meet the requirements for both chemical and mechanical recycling. At the same time, impurities and materials such as Tetra Pak, paper and metals are removed and sent to relevant recycling processes.
A sorting plant built for growth
ReSource Denmark has an impressive 173 meter long, 40 meter wide and 20 meter high facility designed to handle large volumes of plastic waste efficiently. The advanced infrastructure ensures a stable and carefully planned sorting process that optimizes the output for further recycling.
We use proven technology on a large scale, which ensures reliable operation, but our plants are also designed with a unique flexibility. This means we can continuously adapt sorting to new plastic types and market needs. Our technology ensures traceability from waste to product - a crucial advantage in an industry where transparency and sustainable solutions are increasingly important. The plant plays a key role in the circular plastics economy and helps the industry reduce dependence on new plastic production.
