From the first sketch to the colossal 173m x 40m x 20m plant with an annual capacity of 160,000 tons of plastic, ReSource Denmark will revolutionize plastic recycling in Denmark. The plant is capable of handling all of Denmark's plastic waste and eliminates the need for export.

Factory Director Lars Hedegaard Kristensen says:

"It is a historic achievement for ReSource Denmark that we are now able to commission the plant and process the first plastic bales. I am proud and excited for the entire team who have worked hard to reach this important milestone. Words can't describe how amazing it feels to finally see plastic running through our machines. Every batch we process is one step closer to reaching Denmark's ambitious recycling goals."

The next phase involves fine-tuning the machinery and sorting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and achieve the highest possible recycling rate. ReSource Denmark's focus on using proven technology at scale, combined with traceability from waste to product, places the company at the forefront of the plastics industry's journey towards higher recycling rates.

"Fine-tuning our machines is not just a technical step; it is our commitment to achieving the highest recycling rates. The next phase is crucial to ensure that ReSource Denmark can run at high efficiency for years to come," Lars continues.

While the facility is nearing completion, construction of the administrative building and exterior is still underway. ReSource Denmark continues to stay on schedule and is preparing for the official Grand Opening in the spring.
