ReSource Denmark is on its way to achieving DGNB Gold certification, signaling its strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable building practices. As one of the first industrial facilities set to obtain this esteemed certification, ReSource Denmark is paving the way for environmentally conscious industrial developments.

The DGNB certification, granted by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), recognises ReSource Denmark's outstanding performance across various sustainability criteria. Throughout its journey, ReSource Denmark has prioritised sustainability, integrating environmentally friendly practices into its operations and setting new benchmarks for future industrial projects.

The global engineering and consultancy firm Rambøll has not only managed the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the plant, but has also spearheaded the work on DGNB certification to ensure that the facility meets rigorous environmental standards from inception to completion.

Key initiatives at ReSource Denmark include prioritising energy efficiency through advanced heating, ventilation and lighting, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. The facility has also invested in solar panels to generate clean energy onsite. In addition, rainwater harvesting systems and low-flow fixtures minimise water consumption, preserving precious freshwater resources.

ReSource Denmark's commitment to sustainable materials is also evident in its sourcing practices, prioritising environmentally responsible materials from sustainable suppliers and utilising recycled or renewable materials wherever possible. The incorporation of green spaces further enhances biodiversity and ecosystem health on the facility grounds.

As ReSource Denmark continues its journey toward DGNB Gold Certification, we hope our use of responsible practices serve as inspiration for future industrial projects!

* ReSource Denmark currently holds a pre-certification status and should achieve a full recognition once all the building work is complete this spring.
