Helle Vingolf appointed CEO of Resource Denmark as the company enters its next phase
The Board of Resource Denmark today announces the appointment of Helle Vingolf as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2026. Helle joined Resource Denmark in 2025 as Operations & Technical Manager and brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing and production, including in the Danish plastics and recycling sector.
With her broad experience, Helle is uniquely positioned to lead Denmark’s largest plastic waste sorting facility in Esbjerg as it continues to ramp-up to full capacity and targets new partnerships.
Since commissioning in mid-2024, Resource Denmark has established itself as a key asset in Denmark’s recycling infrastructure:
- Processed c.75,000 tonnes of household plastic waste in 2025 and on track to process c.100,000 tonnes in 2026
- Secured infeed contracts with each of Denmark’s three producer responsibility organisations, effective October 2025 making Resource Denmark the reference facility for Danish EPR household plastic volumes
- Continued investment in operational performance, material traceability and value-chain real recycling rates, leveraging the skills of its c.70-person team
With this foundation in place, the priority is now operational excellence: running Denmark’s largest plastic waste sorting facility in Esbjerg at full capacity, with top-tier recycling performance and full material traceability for its partners.
Helle will be supported by an experienced leadership team, including CFO Rebecca Røien Bach, alongside strengthened commercial and traceability functions, reflecting the company’s focus on service quality and transparency towards producer responsibility organisations, municipalities and offtake partners.
Looking beyond the plant to foster the Danish recycling ecosystem
Beyond reaching full processing capacity and top-tier recycling performance, Resource Denmark sees the opportunity for further partnerships within the Danish recycling sector to build out the country’s ability to treat its own waste.
“The future is exciting for ReSource Denmark. The vision of Danish plastic waste being effectively and efficiently recycled in Denmark for re-use is achievable but will require continued collaboration across the private and public sector. We are keen to foster a Danish plastic waste hub around our site and invite sector stakeholders in the country to collaborate in building out the entire value chain locally. Helle has the sector expertise and personal character to continue to improve both the plant’s performance and create such relationships with customers and suppliers alike” says Chairman Martin Sichelkow.
Helle Vingolf is equally looking forward to taking on the task:“Resource Denmark has built something remarkable in a short time,” says Helle Vingolf. “My focus will be on running the plant at the level our partners expect: full capacity, consistent quality, and traceability they can rely on, while building the partnerships that will strengthen recycling in Denmark. I’m proud to take on this role together with a very capable team.”
